School and Kindergarten Doctors in Waldorf Education

Career and Training

Medical Practice in Waldorf Schools and Kindergartens

Many Waldorf schools have a school doctor, mostly for a few hours on a part-time basis, but also full-time. The idea for this goes back to the founder of the Waldorf schools himself, Rudolf Steiner, who found the first school doctor in Eugen Kolisko. Today, the Goetheanum regularly hosts international advanced training conferences, and advanced training courses for school and kindergarten doctors have been established in many countries. We would like to give interested persons an overview of the job description, of the advanced training and literature, as well as providing the opportunity to connect with mentors and thus facilitate their entry into this fulfilling activity.
