Medical doctor and epidemiologist Dr. Erik Baars has worked in anthroposophic medicine formany years. Since 2000 he is a senior healthcare researcher at the Louis Bolk Institute. Since 2007 he is a professor of Anthroposophic Medicine at the University of Applied Sciences Leiden, The Netherlands. Erik Baars has more than 250 publications to his name.

Born in 1962, married, with two adult children. Carpenter and interior designer; has been a priest in the Christian Community since 2011. Has served as a parish priest in Dresden since 2016 and has been volunteering as an emergency chaplain with the Association for Crisis Intervention and Emergency Pastoral Care in Dresden for the same length of time.
