AnthroMed® Art Therapy / Therapeutic Arts
In spring 2014, AnthroMed® entered into an agreement with the International Department of Anthroposophic Art Therapies. This agreement regulates the use of the AnthroMed® Art Therapies trademark.
The AnthroMed® Kunsttherapien / AnthroMed® Arts Therapy / AnthroMed® Therapeutic Arts trademark may be used by anthroposophic art therapists who meet specific requirements. These include successful completion of a diploma program in anthroposophic art therapy recognized by the Medical Section at the Goetheanum and iARTe, as well as membership in a national professional association for anthroposophic art therapy. The respective association must also have concluded a licensing agreement with AnthroMed® GmbH that authorizes its members to use the trademark.
The requirements for the use of the trademark are as follows:
- A diploma or certificate from a training program recognized by the Medical Section, represented by iARTe, as qualifying graduates to practice anthroposophic art therapy, or documented continuing professional education in a related field.
- Documentation of at least 450 professional practice units of 45 minutes each within four years of graduation.
- A minimum of 15 hours of continuing professional development per year, recognized and documented by an anthroposophic professional association. This may include supervision, peer supervision (intervision), case consultation, communication training, and other medical-therapeutic or social-skills-related topics. Online continuing education is accepted.
- Payment of an annual licensing fee equivalent to the fee for one 60-minute therapy session. The amount is determined by the relevant professional association in consultation with IFAT.
- Adherence to the ethical guidelines of the therapist’s professional association or, where applicable, those of IFAT.
