AnthroMed® Art Therapies / Therapeutic Arts
In the spring of 2014, AnthroMed® concluded an agreement with the International Department of Anthroposophic Art Therapies. This agreement governs the use of the AnthroMed® Art Therapies trademark.
The use of the AnthroMed® Kunsttherapien / AnthroMed® Arts Therapy / AnthroMed® Therapeutic Arts brand is open to all anthroposophic art therapists who meet certain requirements. This includes having successfully completed a training program in anthroposophic art therapy recognized by the Medical Section at the Goetheanum / iARTe and having received a diploma. Another requirement is membership in a national professional association for anthroposophic art therapy. This association must, in turn, have entered into a contractual agreement with AnthroMed® GmbH to enable its members to use the trademark.
The criteria for using the trademark are:
- A diploma or certificate from a training program recognized by the Medical Section—represented by iARTe—as qualifying one to become an anthroposophic art therapist, or continuing education in a related field.
- Documentation of 450 work units of 45 minutes each within 4 years of graduation.
- 15 hours of continuing education per year, recognized and documented by an anthroposophical professional association, consisting of 45-minute sessions on medical-therapeutic topics and social skills, including supervision, intervision, case supervision, and communication (online continuing education is possible)
Licensees pay the equivalent of one 60-minute therapy session per year for the right to use the method. This amount is set by the professional association in consultation with IFAT.
Therapists adhere to the ethical guidelines of their respective association or of IFAT.
