iARTe

The International Association of Anthroposophic Arts Therapies Educations (for short iARTe) is an association of international vocational and postgraduate training courses. iARTe pursues the following aims:

  • Exchange of experience and development of the art therapies.
  • Quality assurance and the development of competences in the arts therapy training and study courses
  • Promotion of research.

IFAT

The International Federation of Anthroposophic Therapies (IFAT) represents the political and legal concerns of the professional associations for eurythmy therapy, body therapies, art therapies and other national groups across borders. Professional associations can become members of IFAT.

Research

Research on the effectiveness of Anthroposophic Art Therapies can be found on the website of the Medical Section, at Anthromedics or at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences (Germany) and Leiden University (Netherlands), as well as in research departments at anthroposophic clinics.

In addition to the anthroposophic approach, there are numerous publications and research centres on other approaches to art therapies.

We are happy to include current research projects and publications and share them via our newsletter for Anthroposophic Art Therapists worldwide.

Orientation Guide

The Orientation Guide Anthroposophic Art Therapies (in some countries the professional title may be Anthroposophic Therapeutic Arts) aims to enable physicians to find suitable possible art therapy applications for their patients. The authors are aware that the information is generic. The approaches and interventions presented provide an initial approach and are not exhaustive. Since the manifestations as well as progression of a disease are individual, the therapist will develop and apply a therapeutic approach which is responding to the patient’s specific needs, based on the therapist’s wealth of experience and knowledge.

The way in which “Diagnosis”, “DisciplineSpecific Approach” and “Possible Interventions” are deployed here takes account of the way of thinking and approach in the medical profession

The Team

The coordinators of artistic therapies in speech and drama, music and singing, and the fine arts collect and pass on information from research, education and training and professional associations. If you have any questions, they are the people to contact. They themselves are involved in individual areas of public relations, training and professional association work.
