AntroMedicArt in Hungary:
Formal founding of the Subsection Psychotherapy
On Sunday, 20 July 2025, 22 colleague psychologists and psychotherapists received their final certificates after completing a postgraduate training programme, marking the festive inauguration of an official working group on psychotherapy and anthroposophy within the Hungarian Medical Section AntroMedicArt.
The subsection psychology and psychotherapy in the Association “AntroMedicArt” is now embedded in the group of Hungarian medical professionals under the inspiring leadership of Henrik Szöke MD, whereas the psychotherapeutic training initiative was co-founded by the psychotherapists Orsolayi Pal and Judit Falus. The programme was attended with great enthusiasm by other disciplines within the anthroposophical medical section in Hungary as well.
What is remarkable about this group of psychotherapy colleagues is the large number of child and youth psychologists, including a child psychiatrist. This is a promising development, given that the problems facing children in today's world require therapeutic approaches that are based on the ‘Knowledge of Man’, humane, professional and, undoubtedly, spiritual as well.
Teaching and mentoring was carried out by colleagues from IFAPA Miguel Falero MD, John Lees, Ioulia Ventouratou, Hartmut Horn MD, Ad and Henriette Dekkers, Boris Krause MD, Tobias Roeckl MD, and Henrick Szöke.
Hungary is thereby the 16th country represented in the IFAPA (International Federation of Associations for Anthroposophy and Psychotherapy). A warm welcome and a prosperous future lie ahead of us!
On behalf of IFAPA and the Hungarian group, Henriette Dekkers.
